Discovering Middleware Resources

This section describes how to discover middleware resources using RDA.

Currently, the following middleware types are supported: Redis, Kafka, and RocketMQ. Redis and Kafka middleware can be discovered by platform discovery and manual addition. RocketMQ middleware can be discovered only through platform discovery.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Double-click the RDA icon on the desktop or RDA.exe in the installation directory to start the RDA client. Enter the username and password to log in to the RDA console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Discovery > Middleware.
  3. Stay on the Redis tab page.

    1. Choose Actions > Add in the upper left corner of the page.

    2. Enter the required information by referring to Table 1.
      If no credentials are added in advance, click Add Credential next to the Credential box. In the expanded area, enter the credential name and token and click Save Credential. Then click OK. To learn how to add a credential, see Credential Management.

      The login password of the middleware.

      View the added middleware in the list. The system automatically checks the credential binding status and discovers the middleware resources.

  4. Click the Redis tab.

    1. Choose Actions > Add in the upper left corner of the page.

    2. Enter the required information by referring to Table 2 and click OK.
