This section describes how to install the RDA for windows.
Download the installation package from the RDA webpage.
Prerequisites
- The RDA installation package for Windows has been obtained and its integrity has been verified by following the procedure in How Do I Download the RDA Installation Package and Verify Its Integrity?.
- You have prepared a server that meeting the requirements listed in Table 1.

The partition where RDA is to be installed must have at least 3 GB available space.
During the running of RDA, at least 100 MB available space must be reserved in the partition where RDA is installed.

Procedure
- Download the RDA installation package to the Windows server you prepared, double-click the RDA installation package, and click Next.
- On the License Agreement page, read the agreement carefully, select I accept the terms of the License Agreement, and click Next.
- Select the root directory of drive C as the installation directory and click Install.
RDA can be installed only in the root directory of drive C. If it is installed in any other directory, it may fail to be started.
- Wait for the installation to complete. Then click Finish to open the RDA client and go to the login page. After the installation is complete, the RDA icon is generated on the desktop. You can also double-click the RDA icon to open the RDA client.
When you log in to RDA for the first time, you need to configure the username, password, and password retrieval credential. Keep the password retrieval credential secure. If you forget or lose the password, you can use the password retrieval credential to retrieve the password.
